Norbert Pallua is Professor and Chairman for Plastic Surgery, Hand Surgery, and Burn Center of the University Hospital Aachen in Germany. He has an accreditation for full specialist training for Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery by the Nordrhein Association of Physicians. Since 2001 he is serving as a member of the teaching faculty and examiner of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) / European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS).

Along with all these responsibilities he serves as President of the German Burns Association, Vice President of the German Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (DGPRÄC), a German representative of European Burns Association (EBA), member of the Scientific Committee of the European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS), and a National Representative of the International Society for Burn Injuries (ISBI)

Barry Lycka is one of North America’s foremost authorities on cosmetic surgery, skin cancer surgery, reconstructive surgery and laser surgery of the skin. He graduated from the University of Alberta in Medicine, in 1983. He completed his internship at the Misericordia hospital in Edmonton, and then did his residency in Internal Medicine at University of Alberta. He completed a 2nd Residency interning in Dermatology at the University of Minnesota in 1989.

He is recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta as a specialist in Dermatology. Dr. Lycka founded the Canadian Skin Cancer Foundation and Co-developed a telephone app for Dr.’s called “Dermatologist in your pocket”. He is a proud member of the Doctors for the Practice of Safe and Ethical Aesthetic Medicine, The Rotary Club, and volunteers with many organizations; as he believes it is very important to give back to the community and those less fortunate.

Dr. Lycka has traveled to many countries speaking with and teaching other Dr.’s the latest methods in scar correction; as he takes great pride in teaching the next generation of cosmetic surgeons, as well teaching about the importance of skin protection.

Afschin Ghofrani’s current position as the Medical Director and owner of Aestheticon® has been the path of an ever increasing level of specialization with a constant focus on Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery since 1992 and further concentration on Aesthetic Surgery since 1997.

At Europe's largest clinic, the RWTH Aachen in Germany, he studied human medicine and graduated with final marks amongst the top 2% of students. In 1992 he started his medical career at the Clinic of Burns and Plastic-Reconstructive Surgery in Aachen. In the following 5 years he got educated in the treatment of severe burned patient, intensive care, management of hand trauma, reconstructive and plastic surgery. During this period he also completed his doctoral thesis.

From 1997 to 2002 he worked as an assistant medical director and consultant representative at hospitals in Cologne and Dortmund in departments of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery.

In 1998 he received the certificate ‘Specialist of Plastic Surgery’ from the medical chamber in Nordrhein-Westfalen/ Germany and in 2001 the additional certificate ‘Specialist of Hand Surgery’. Furthermore he is a trained and certified emergency doctor with many years of experience in intensive care medicine.

From January 2003 until August 2010 Dr. Afschin has been the Head Physician at the Evangelische Hospital Giessen/ Germany and additionally the Medical Director of his private practice of Plastic/Aesthetic Surgery and Hand Surgery. During this period he focused besides his other specializations mainly on aesthetic surgery of face and body.

In September 2010, Dr. Afschin moved to Dubai to establish his concept of a plastic and aesthetic surgery center. After working as a specialist consultant at two different clinics in Dubai during the setup of his own clinic, Aestheticon ® opened in May 2012.
Regarding Dr. Afschin’s scientific career, he was the initiator and leader of various research projects and has published diverse articles in national and international specialists’ journals and books. Consistently he is invited to give lectures at scientific conferences and workshops.

His keen interest in Aesthetic surgery now finds him among the top aesthetic plastic surgeon in the region. A British trained Aesthetic, and Reconstructive surgeon, and is known internationally as an author of several books in the field of plastic surgery such as “Practical approach to Plastic Surgery” and “Alternative Free Flaps”, and co-author of several books. Aesthetic Plastic surgery

Cagatay Sezgin was born in Osmaniye/Turkey on August 30, 1966. He completed his medical education at Cukurova University, Faculty of Medicine from 1985-1991 in Turkey. During his last year at medical school he passed the student exchange program examination and become one of the ten eligible students to join the medical training program in Madrid-Spain. He worked as a general practitioner from 1991-1993. He passed the examination for specialty in medicine and started his General Surgery education at Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1993 and completed in 1999. Following this education, he worked as Assistant Chief Physician and Manager of Operating room, Emergency and Intensive Care units at Osmaniye Public Hospital. He established Adana Marmara Estetik -Hair transplantation clinic- in year 2000 and joined the certification program organized by the Ministry of Health and received his certificate as a Medical Aesthetician. In 2001, he applied for the membership of International Society of Hair Restoration and was accepted as a member during the 9th International Assembly of the society held in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at which he as well participated. He returned to Turkey as the 3rd Turkish member of this society.

Angelo Rebelo has concluded his medicine studies in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon, Portugal in 1980 and he became a specialized in Plastic,Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in 1990. Since 1997 he opened his own outpatient private clinic for aesthetic-plastic surgery in Lisbon, Portugal, in the last 18 years, he’s in exclusivity at Clinica Milenio in Lisbon - Portugal, as Clinic Director and Cosmetic Surgeon. He is precursor in several techniques of Cosmetic Surgery performed under Local Tumescent Anaesthesia and outpatient. Internationally, he has been invited to teach and perform several surgical demonstrations in many countries. He is frequently sought out by the media as an authority in his field. Cosmetic Surgery

Mucio Joao Porto is a Plastic Surgeon from Brazil, by Prof Ivo Pitanguy at Pontificial Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and a master in Aging Studies by Catholic University of Brasilia. He is also Invited-Professor at College of Medicine, Catholic University of Brasil, and an International Lecturer. Furthermore he is the Owner of Mucio Porto Clinic of Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Medicine in Brasilia, Brazil. He completed the course in medicine at the Federal University of Goiás, in 1985. He accomplished internship at a public hospital of Sao Paulo and residency in general surgery at the Hospital of the Armed Forces in Brasilia in 1988.

Subsequently he has been approved in the course of specialization in plastic surgery by the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Professor Ivo Pitanguy service from 1989 to 1992 and received title of Plastic Surgeon, ranked first among physicians of various parts of the world. He has travelled around the world to solidify his knowledge in teaching centers such as Baltimore, New Orleans, Philadelphia and Miami in the U.S. for training in facial peels, videoscopic facial surgery, hair implants and breast augmentation with adipose stem cells. He has also attended the French Institute of the hand and liposuction clinic of Professor Ives Gerard-Illous in Paris, France.

In addition, he participated in visits to the Cantonal University of Geneva in Switzerland, Breast Reconstruction Institute of Genova, and University of Milan, Italy, among others. He also completed masters in studies of aging - Gerontology - Catholic University of Brasilia in 2008, where he passed with honors with a dissertation on “The nose on Aging, a study through self-portraits.” Presently he is a PhD candidate in Genomic Sciences and Biotechnology, which aims to study the role of stem cells in aging. He is a visiting professor in the Masters of Gerontology and Faculty of Medicine and a member of several medical societies such as the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery, International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, among others. He has presented scientific papers at various medical meetings in Brazil and in several countries as well as writing book chapters nationally and internationally.

He has received numerous titles and awards as an indication for the “Who’s Who in the World” and “Educators of the World 2010 “Biographical Institute of Cambridge in the UK. Prof Porto practices currently in the trendy district of South Lake in Brasilia, capital of Brazil.

Plastic Surgery

He is a specialist Plastic Surgeon certified by the Romanian Ministry of Health (2004) and by The Ministry of Health, United Arab Emirates (2008). He completed his fellowship in Aesthetic - Cosmetic Surgery and Facial Palsy Surgery at the Clinic of Plastic Surgery “Prof. Dr. Fausto Viterbo” under the supervision of Professor Fausto Viterbo, Head of the Division of Plastic Surgery, Botucatu Medical School, Sao Paulo State University, Brazil (2006 and 2013). Hesham M Ahmad has completed his MD at the age of 25 years and PhD at the age of 32 years from Minia University, Minia, Egypt. He did his postdoctoral studies at Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA, USA. He is the Clinical Director of Cocoon Medical Centre, Al-Ain, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., a Dermatology and Aesthetic centre. He is also an assistant professor at Department of Dermatology at Minia University Hospital, Minia, Egypt. He has published more than 20 papers in reputed journals.
